Everyone is invited to the fantastic Wellness in Wishaw event on Wednesday, 09 April, a gathering dedicated to showcasing local health, wellbeing, and social care services available in our community.
People across North Lanarkshire are welcome to join the exciting and informative day at the Houldsworth Centre, Wishaw, from 11.30am-2.30pm. The free-to-attend event will have something for everyone with people being able to learn more about local health services, find support groups, or simply enjoy a day out with family and friends.
The day will feature teams from NHS Lanarkshire, social work, University Health & Social Care North Lanarkshire, Alzheimer’s Scotland, Lanarkshire Carers, mental health support teams, Addiction Support services, Veterans Support, community development projects, and many more.
Michelle McKillop, service manager – Wishaw Locality, University Health & Social Care North Lanarkshire, said: “We already have more than 20 exhibitors confirmed, so everyone will have the chance to meet experts, gather valuable information, and take part in a whole range of activities.
“There will also be special attractions, including Therapets, a smoothie bike experience, and outdoor activities featuring local emergency services and friendly ponies.
“Wellness in Wishaw is here to support you. Let’s make wellness a community effort— we hope to see you there!”
